What a 1233-week field teaches about timing
The catalog is not a survey. It is 1233 weeks clubs already published. The pattern is in the names and the years.
ClubHost’s field is 1233 member-guest weeks taken from club event pages. We do not invent dates. We count what the pages already published.
Years on the card
822 of the 1233 weeks carry a year. Of those, 422 are 2026, 375 are 2025, 17 are 2027, and 5 are 2024. The live pile is this season and last. A 2027 ladies one-day is already on the board — clubs that run a program put the next year up before this year’s thank-you note.
Place, when they publish it
Most pages omit a city. 143 weeks publish a state. Those sit in 19 states (and provinces). The published set is led by PA (32), FL (17), CA (15), MD (12), MA (10). Pennsylvania (32), Florida (17), and California (15) are the top three in that set — not a national ranking, a count of pages that bothered to print a place. 137 weeks name a city; that is 39 cities. Treat the blanks as blanks.
What the names say about the season
81 weeks put “fall” in the name. 31 say spring. 18 say summer. That is not a start-date study — only a handful of pages publish a start date — but it is how clubs brand the week. Fall is the word they use when they use a word.
262 weeks name ladies or women. 304 name men. 323 read as one-day, play day, 9-holer, or nine-and-dine. 21 say two-day; 6 say three-day. The one-day is not a minority product. It is a large slice of the field.
Hosts that run a program
234 hosts appear in the catalog. 190 appear more than once. 93 appear five or more times. Merion Golf Club has 27 weeks in the field — one-day, two-day, three-day, play days, and a women’s week. Bel-Air Country Club has 10. That is a calendar, not a one-off. 62nd Annual Member-Guest at Chartwell Golf & Country Club is the other tell: a number in the name that you cannot fake on year three.
If you are picking a date, the field’s lesson is dull and useful. Put the named week on the calendar first. Hang the one-days on the shoulder. Do not invent a national “best weekend.” Use your own last three years, then look at how a club like Merion splits the product. More in the event calendar as a yield tool.
